In my everyday life I just want to give my best, I just want to make difference that even we're gay, we can be an inspiration to others. I want to be not just a model but a role model to each and everyone. But when I explored the society well, I observed something wrong, "Is it a competition? Is it a contest?" because I am just exploring, but why there's a lot of people looking at me and saying a lot of foul words. And now I already knew that everyday is a competition because everyday there's always a person who will judge and criticize you.
Growing up, I have the mentality to join in every competitions, either a school contest or barangay contest, because I have this instinct that why people keep on judging me, so why joining in a true competitions, right? In every contest I've competed I have the mindset that I will win because God is with me. I tried a lot of competitions but the big break was when I won the title of Miss Gay San Miguel 2019, because through that contest it lifted up my moral and self-esteem and also that contest became the bridge that made my parents, friends, classmates and relatives very proud. Beside that, I also joined a lot of competitions academically and there are times that I did not win but most of the time I have so much joy because I bring home the bacon!
I fell but still I'm rising, rising from the ashes like a phoenix and that's life sometimes you will fall but that is not the reason to give up. It should be our motivation to move forward and to keep on doing such. And always remember that everyday is a competition, so you need to be ready and prepare because the best is yet to come. And lastly, what I learned about life is to keep on fighting, fight for my dreams and fight for who am I. I also learned to take up space because according to what Miss South Africa 2019 said "nothing is important than to take up space in the society, it's cementing you.
You have always been a competitive person since we met in 2015 and that is something that makes you unique. I so love the way you connect the idea of joining a competition and competing everyday to prove to everybody that you can still do the best thing you could on and off stage.
