LEAD BY EXAMPLE AND DEDICATION

Can you imagine our country without a leader? What do you think are the possible effects?

These are some of the questions that always run in my head because personally, I want to be a future leader of our country someday.

I do believe that a country without a leader is like a flower without a soil and sunlight, it will not have a progress and it will not grow, same as a country without a leader, the country will become miserable and it will not grow at the same time.

I am actually an active member of any organization since elementary until now that I am already a graduating senior high student. Being a leader is such a big responsibility, my teacher always reminds me that if you want to be a leader, you need to be fully committed because in this case you will not think first yourself but of course you are thinking about the sake of other people.

A leader should be selfless and always have the mentality to help without expecting in return. Leadership is a momentous ability because we can't buy it in any convenience store.

I also believe that leadership is within us, we don't just using it instead we all have the potential and ability to be a leader, we just need to discover it to ourselves and conquer our fear. One characteristic that a leader should also have is being optimistic in any situation because as part of a specific organization you may encounter a lot of difficulties that will measure your leadership, but if you have the attitude of a true leader you will cope up that no matter what happen.

The best example for that situation was when I am in the 9th grade and I am a part of Supreme Student Government Organization and during that time we were celebrating The World Teachers Day and the teachers seems don't like our tokens but as a leader we look for alternative materials in order for them to be happy and make that day memorable we became optimistic even we faced that kind of problem and just like BDO, we find ways.

I remember my quotation during our SSG election way back year 2016 and that is "A true leader don't create followers they create more leaders" and that is very true because if you are a leader with full of vision you will encourage them to follow your footsteps. In addition a leader is not just a model but a role model because they ran because they want to inspire other people rather than to become popular.

Next one is my quotation during my last year in Junior High School which is "Leadership comes from passion, not in position" and that's also right because everyone can be a leader in their own simplest and  unique way even you are male or female, rich or poor, educated or non-educated as long as your heart want to serve and you have a strong mind to show people then you can be leader and it would be up to you on how you will handle every circumstances.

And lastly what the leader should aim is unity for one another, because a good leader is also a good listener he/she will listen to his/her companions who will also give a lot of good suggestions that may help to uplift the purpose of the group. And of course teamwork because at the end of the day "teamwork makes the dream work."

A leader must be fuelled by passion, dedication, compassion and love and if you mix all of that together that is equal for a successful leadership!

LIVE THE LIFE YOU LOVE AND LOVE THE LIFE YOU LIVE

Courtesy: https://tinybuddha.com/blog/30-ways-to-live-life-to-the-fullest/

How many years are you existing here in this real world? Do you find it happy? Are you contented on your life right now? Or is there a hesitation or questions that still unanswered?

Well one thing is for sure right now, you are thinking deeply on why we are existing here in this world.

In my 17 years of existence I believe that I am satisfied and contented on my life that I'm living right now.

But first what is life?

Accprding to Merriam Webster, life is the ability to grow or to change, it is also the experience of being alive but still, I have a question.

Do you think that is the real meaning of life? Or do you think that is enough that you grow and change then that is life?

In my own positive perspective no, we as a human we should not stick to that meaning because as the quotation says that "bring color to your life" and the color that you will bring to your life are the one who will appreciate you even you have nothing but yourself.

It is also your experience that will shape and mold you as a person because as we grow older, we are having the mindset to give importance to our lives which is the right thing to do.

A lot of people are still thinking on their existence on why they are here? Are they here to do their purpose? But what is sad about many Filipinos, if they are unable to find or to fulfill their purpose they will choose depression over making their day a better day then suddenly they tend to take away their own life because of failure to do their task.

If you are unable to do it then try and try, besides there are no perfect human. If you failed then keep going and learn from your mistakes because if you kill yourself that is probably the biggest mistake that you will going to regret in your entire life. Love yourself and continue what you think to do is best because there are times that you will fall but that is not the reason to give up and to end your life.

"You Only Live Once" or YOLO is one of the famous line that you will heard from the young generation.

They strongly believe that they only live once and that's why they will do whatever they want even it is not for good sake. Honestly, the first time I heard the word YOLO was on PBB the time when Myrtle Sarosa was the big winner.

Actually I heard that because "Kuya" was talking to one of his housemate that is a member of a gang. Kuya asked that housemate "Bakit mo piniling maging myembro ng isang gang?" then that housemate replied "...kase kuya sa gang namen maggagawa mo lahat, kase nga kuya YOLO~ you only live once" kuya asked again "kahit masama?" the housemate answered again "opo." then kuya gave his advice "alam mo sa buhay madami kang pedeng gawin gaya nga ng sabi mo YOLO pero dapat alam mo ang ginagawa mo at alam mo rin ang kalalabasan nito!" then by that advice of Kuya I was enlighten that yes we only live once but we should be aware of the consequences of life and of course we should be discipline enough within ourselves because you can do anything in your life but always make sure it's the right choice.

Lastly, I will give an advice to each and everyone. Love yourself to the fullest just like what you did to your ex, take care of yourself just like how you take care of your phone, have a "me time" to refresh your mind and of course find someone who will bring joy and happiness to your life.

"Just Live it, Love it, and Learn from it!"

BABANGON DESPITE THE SITUATION, WE LEARNED FROM THE TAAL VOLCANIC ERUPTION!

The Taal Volcanic Eruption happened last January 12, 2020. All Batangueños was shocked specifically me it is actually the first time that I've encountered this kind of calamity. But in our place which is Sto. Tomas, Batangas it is not that much affected so I was thinking in the places near the Taal Volcano such as Talisay, Batangas, Laurel and Agoncillo, Batangas. How they will continue if the places that they are living is within the danger zone? What would happen next after this calamity? That is some of the questions that always running in my mind. But you know what I strongly believe that despite of this kind situation we will rise from the ashes like a phoenix and we'll soar and fly high again.

We, the Batangueños are popular because of our products such as Loming Batangas one of our delicacy that we are proud of, next is Kapeng Barako that is strong like who we are right now. But because of the Taal Volcanic Eruption we are now popular because of our bravery and resiliency that no matter what calamities we've been through we are still smiling and showing not just to the whole world but to the rest of the universe that Batangueños will always be like their products; Loming Batangas that has a lot of toppings that gives extra taste to our tongue and that toppings symbolizes all Batangueños who also gave their extra hardwork to help our fellow Batangueños and of course the Kapeng Barako that symbolizes our personality and character that it's just minor set back to a major comeback, we'll continue what we have started because we are strong like Kapeng Barako and we will overcome this calamity no matter what happen.

Lastly, I believe that this calamity happens for a reason and the reason is to measure our willingness to help without waiting for return and to know who will be there despite the situation. And even I saw some people who take advantage in this kind of scenario there's always a lot of good people who will help and cheer you up and that is what's good about us. And of course this is just a challenge given by God and God will not give us a challenge that we will not overcome. This past few days we cried, we fell, we failed, we felt hopeless but above all of that we learned to keep going and move forward.

If there is a rainbow after the rain there always be a helping hand after the calamity.

Education as a Secret Weapon

Courtesy: https://theimaginativeconservative.org/page/448?taxonomy

A man without knowing education is like a rolling stone with no direction, just like a tree without a bird and a sea without a fish in short we need education in our life. Today I will share my insights and own perception on why education is really important to us. In my positive perspective education is really important because it can save all of us to all the hindrances and obstacles that we may encounter. Education is like a sword it can be your weapon to every people that keep on degrading you, you will not going to hurt them physically by the use of that sword but kill them with success.

I do believe that if all Filipinos have this sword or should I say if all Filipinos are educated we will have a progress that all Filipinos are waiting for. Some people says that they are not capable to attain education because of their status in life but it's a big NO for me because in the first place we breath the same air and we landed on the same ground so it will be up to you on how you will get a solution, poverty is not a problem the problem is how you will cope and handle that poverty because if you are a human with full of vision you are going to pursue education no matter what status you have. And just like what Nelson Mandela said that "Education is the most powerful weapon which we can use to change the world."

Education can really change everything if you have the ability to educate yourself first because the first person who will get the benefits of education is definitely yourself. Education is the key to unlock the golden freedom just like what I'm saying a while ago it is a weapon we can get our freedom with the use of education but always remember that the greater the freedom the greater the responsibilities we need to broaden our minds because education is just nine letters and have four syllables, one word but have a lot of meanings and have a lot of importance that we should keep in mind.

And lastly I will leave a message to everyone that no matter what success you came true don't forget our superior being, don't forget the wisdom of all wisdom which is God because at the end, Education is the key to success but don't forget God because God is holding the everlasting happiness.

COMPETITIVE JOURNEY

In my everyday life I just want to give my best, I just want to make difference that even we're gay, we can be an inspiration to others. I want to be not just a model but a role model to each and everyone. But when I explored the society well, I observed something wrong, "Is it a competition? Is it a contest?" because I am just exploring, but why there's a lot of people looking at me and saying a lot of foul words. And now I already knew that everyday is a competition because everyday there's always a person who will judge and criticize you.

Growing up, I have the mentality to join in every competitions, either a school contest or barangay contest, because I have this instinct that why people keep on judging me, so why joining in a true competitions, right? In every contest I've competed I have the mindset that I will win because God is with me. I tried a lot of competitions but the big break was when I won the title of Miss Gay San Miguel 2019, because through that contest it lifted up my moral and self-esteem and also that contest became the bridge that made my parents, friends, classmates and relatives very proud. Beside that, I also joined a lot of competitions academically and there are times that I did not win but most of the time I have so much joy because I bring home the bacon!

I fell but still I'm rising, rising from the ashes like a phoenix and that's life sometimes you will fall but that is not the reason to give up. It should be our motivation to move forward and to keep on doing such. And always remember that everyday is a competition, so you need to be ready and prepare because the best is yet to come. And lastly, what I learned about life is to keep on fighting, fight for my dreams and fight for who am I. I also learned to take up space because according to what Miss South Africa 2019 said "nothing is important than to take up space in the society, it's cementing you.
