Portfolio Assessment: As Educational Weapon

First and foremost, I created this image on canva that will show the benefits of portfolio assessment to students. In the portfolio assessment students are asked to reflect on their work, to engage in self-assessment and goal setting. 

I think portfolio assessment is very authentic because it do highlights and showcases the sample of students best work, along with life experiences, values, and achievements. The portfolio also collects the accomplishment, skills, experiences, and attributes of each students. Based on the article that I read portfolio does not take the place of a resume or a curriculum vitae, but it can accentuate your abilities and what you can offer on your chosen field. 

One of the primary purposes of portfolio assessment is to document student learning on specific curriculum outcomes. It do measure how students are being able to excel in different field or area of study. The items in the portfolio must be designed to elicit the knowledge and skills specified in the outcomes. 

On all the article that I have read, they all want to emphasize that this portfolio assessment really help the students to assess themselves on their own and it also helps the teachers to identify curriculum gaps, a lack of alignment with outcomes. So, both teachers and students do benefited with this portfolio assessment.

When I enter college everything is uncertain

Didn't know what to do, but I know what I can

Searching for friend who'll listen and will never forgotten

And will help me to be enlighten and be brighten

First year of college was an experimentation

We, students are looking for motivation and inspiration

It was the pandemic year, full of depression

We lose the power of relation and communication

Second year was a matter of adjustment

There is a litte progress and improvement

It was an online class and still there is an enjoinment

After all the hardship, we clap for everyones achievement

Third year was back to normal

I felt excited, but I know it was a different kind of animal

I needed to be at my prime no room for minimal

One step closer and I am in the final

Now, I just need to focus on my goal

No more excuses and no more no

Continue to be the best version 

For my future to become sensation and in great position

Jerome is my name, Volleyball is my game. 

 I began playing volleyball when I was nine years old and haven't stopped since. I originally joined volleyball for the social component and did not expect to like it as much as I have. My passion for volleyball evolved progressively over time as I began to devote more time and effort to the sport. Volleyball has now become my happy spot, where I can temporarily forget about everything else and focus on the sport. Volleyball is a game won in three out of five sets of twenty-five points apiece, with the fifth set being a tie breaker of fifteen points. Each team gets three touches to send the ball over the net and no player can touch the ball twice in a row. Each touch is consisted of a pass, set, and hit. 

Volleyball is a game based on endurance, speed, agility, and power. Due to the intensity of the game, endurance is important. Power is also important because to earn your team a point you need to have the strength to serve, block, and hit the ball hard enough for it to reach the floor. At every moment, you need to be quick on your feet for when the ball is coming towards you. As for agility, it is needed to fully grasp the skills performed in volleyball.

Because of my passion and love for volleyball I became a varsity player since junior high school to senior high school, I also have the chance to represent our barangay quadraple times to inter-barangay the biggest volleyball competition existing in my barangay. Through out the years volleyball help me to broaden my horizon and meet new amazing sets of people, it also pushed me to become the best version of myself and I think until my last breath I will still cherish that once in my life I become a volleyball player.
